The City Square

The infamous City Square. Generations of city councils could not decide what to do with the square and it has changed so many times I've lost count.  As the hoardings come down from the latest change we now have what is effectively a smaller space  which is now effectively the courtyard for a private hotel. The plane trees and pond that used to frame the cathedral so nicely have gone, as have all of the water features. I'll reserve a final comment for when it is finished.
