The Heart of the City (2)

For me the heart of Melbourne is the block bounded by Elizabeth, Bourke, Lonsdale and Hardware Streets. A quick walk around will find half a dozen camera shops, hiking shops, a great map shop, RACV tourist information and cafes. What more could you ask for.

Alas, like much of Melbourne though, things change, and not necessarily for the better. My favourite cafe (Campari's) has changed hands and the atmosphere is not quite the same any more. I may well be looking for another place to wind down on a Friday night.
