Mt McKay

The Falls Creek Ski Resort is on the edge of the Bogong High Plains. It is in a zone of transition where the lush mountain forest to the north changes, to the snow gums and open grassland of the Bogong High Plains. In this zone lives the Mountain Pigmy Possum, one of Victoria's endangered animals and Mt McKay is largely a management area for the possum being one of the few environments left which it inhabits.

This panorama was shot from Rocky Knobs, south of the Falls Creek Ski Resort showing the resort, Rocky Valley Reservoir and Mt McKay.
