Mt Stapylton and The Amphitheatre

Flat Rock is one of those walks where lots of people walk to the first spectacular view and go no further. This is not necessarily a bad thing as the track across the top of Mt Stapylton is not always easy to follow and more than one family group has got lost on a simple walk to the top.

Be careful what you say here though, as sound carries through The Amphitheatre extremely well. From the start of the walking track you can hear people talking at the base of the Taipan Walls (the orange cliffs) and even those on top of the mountain.
