Zen, Photography and Hiking
When it comes to hiking trips, mine have been called crazy,
insane, eccentric and even irresponsible (I'll deal with that one
later) and yet so many people look at my photographs, say that
they're beautiful and wish they had been there. Most people will
never see such sights because they are trapped in the routines of
their everyday lives, even when given the freedom of being on
holiday.
To those people who think I'm crazy, you don't know what you're
missing until you've tried it. Normal is, after all, a state of
mind. This is a little guide to hiking and touring my way, with a
few glimpses of things you'll see along the way and some quotes from
others more eloquent (or more well known) than myself.
Many years ago, I climbed the mountains, even though it is
forbidden. Things are not as they teach us; the world is hollow,
and I have touched the sky.
