Wombats

Wombats can possible best be described as furry bricks with legs. They are short, heavy and very solid and while they usually move slowly they can run surprising fast for an animal with such short legs. These are the heavies of the animal thieves. Being nocturnal they don't really pose too much of a problem but they are incredibly strong and have been rumoured to tear their way into a tent to get at fresh fruit. They are very timid and easily scared away.

The best place to find wombats is in the alpine regions or East Gippsland.
